The Buddhist on Death Row with Susan Shannon and RamDev Dale Borglum
Saturday, August 8 @ 10am PT/ 1pm ET
LIVE via Zoom
LIVE via Zoom

Susan Shannon first became a volunteer with the Living/Dying Project in 1998, and it changed the course of her life. Now, more than two decades later, her organization Buddhist Prison Ministry, has reached nearly 65,000 people incarcerated in prisons and jails across the United States.
This August, Susan returns to the Living/Dying Project to sit in conversation with her longtime friend and colleague, RamDev Dale Borglum, to reflect on her life's path of service and spiritual practice.
A Buddhist chaplain, ordained Interfaith minister, and devoted student of the Dharma, Susan brings together contemplative depth, emotional literacy, and a fierce commitment to the dignity of every being.
Her work spans bedside care, bereavement, animal chaplaincy, restorative justice, and nearly a decade as Buddhist chaplain at San Quentin State Prison.
In this wide-ranging dialogue, Susan and RamDev will explore the teachings that sustain their work, the people who have shaped it, and what it means to offer genuine presence in the places most are afraid to go.
This is a conversation about liberation in all its forms.
All are welcome and no one will be turned away for lack of funds. Please email info@livingdying.org to inquire about scholarships for this offering.
